Summer Shrimp Boil

Prep Time 35-40 min. | Medium
Thaw in refrigerator.

  1. Cut lemon into quarters, set 2 of the quarters aside.
  2. In a large pot, add 12 cups of water. Add broth seasoning, whole cloves of garlic, 2 quarters of lemon, and desired amount of red pepper flakes. Place pot on med. high heat and bring to a boil.
  3. Remove shrimp from packaging and rinse thoroughly.
  4. Once at a boil, add potatoes and cook for 6 min.
  5. Add corn, sausage, and shrimp. Cook for another 3-4 min. (shrimp internal temp. 145°F).
  6. Place butter mixture into a small bowl and add 1/8 tsp. kosher salt. Add 1/4 cup of hot broth liquid to butter mixture and stir to combine.
  7. To serve, drain the pot of the remaining liquid (remove bay leaves) and toss shrimp mixture in a large mixing bowl with melted butter sauce.
  8. To serve traditionally: Empty contents of bowl on to table lined with newspaper or disposable tablecloth outside. Serve with remaining lemon quarters.
