Turkey Gyro Kebobs

Cooking Instructions:

Thaw in refrigerator

  1. Place bamboo skewers in long shallow dish and cover with room temperature water. Allow to soak for at least 20 min.
  2. Meanwhile, remove ground turkey patties from bag and squeeze over sink to drain excess water from defrosted turkey. Add to mixing bowl with gyro belnd. Using hand, combine mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Section off mixture into thirds, from there divide portion into 6 equals meatballs. Continue process with remaining thirds.
  4. Preheat grill or large grill pan over medium high heat. Once bamboo skewers are ready, pierce 3 meatballs per skewer. Gently flatten meatballs to skewer. There should be 6 skewers total.
  5. Place skewers on grill or pan, cook for 4-5 minutes each side until turkey reached internal temperature of 155.
  6. Serve with well stirred dill yogurt sauce.
